Boise police report increased theft of catalytic converters
Boise, ID (CBS2) — Boise Police say there has been another spike in thefts of catalytic converters.
Police say that since the beginning of 2024, they have received multiple reports from all over Boise.
Police say that all the targeted vehicles are either Toyota Prius or Ford Econo vans though any vehicle can be targeted.
Police say you can do things to protect your vehicle like parking in a garage, a well-lit area with foot traffic, or a secure area. They also recommend making sure your car doors are locked and don't leave valuables including firearms in your vehicle.
