Curing Gloom in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
There are a few ways you can cure Gloom in Tears of the Kingdom. The most common method would be using a Sundelion dish. Sundelion is an item that you can farm from around the world. They typically grow in high places. If you incorporate sundelion in a dish, it will become the sundelion version of said dish. Then you can eat that dish to restore your broken hearts.
Another way you can cure Gloom without any item is by using light roots. Activating a light root will not only light up the area, but it will also cure all the Gloom on your character. So you can use the light root to cure Gloom even if you don’t have a sundelion dish on hand.
Counter against Gloom
You can do a few things not to get affected by Gloom in the first place. The obvious one is to get the gloom resistance armor. This will add a few extra empty hearts that will be affected by Gloom before they can touch your heart. This will provide a bit of protection layer from the Gloom.
Another way you can get this gloom resistance heart is by adding Dark Clump into the dishes. Dark clump food will add a few extra empty hearts to fight against the Gloom. While traversing the depth, you can use shield surf or stall horse to avoid stepping on Gloom and taking damage to the heart.
