Kenn Whitaker was born on 8th June, 1963 in Longview, Texas to Laura Francis (nee) Smith, a special education teacher and Forest Steven Whitaker Jr., an insurance salesman. When he was two, his family moved to Carson, California.
Kenn started his elementary schooling at Palisades Charter High School, Palisades, CA. He was neither an intelligent student nor a poor one. But he was an average student who loves acting at all. He enrolled in a college to pursue his graduation later.
He was very interested in acting and had shown enthusiasm about becoming an actor.
Acting Career
Kenn Whitaker made his on-screen debut on the TV show Strapped in 1993. He made his first appearance in the film Most Wanted in 1997 who he co-acted with Keenan Ivory Wayans and Jon Voight and where he played a minor character as a bus guard. Then he appeared in the film Life in 1999 with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence where he portrayed the role of Isaac in the comedy drama.
Most Wanted (1997) is his all-time best film where his performance is really great even if his role is minor. And then appearance in Life (1999) made him more and more popularity at a broad level. Following his success in both the films, he starred in the movie The Theory of the Leisure Class in 2001. Then again in 2001, he appeared in the film Last Days.
In addition to the above-mentioned films, he also made his appearances in Tracey Takes On (1996-1999), Bulworth (1998) where he played another minor character of a Henchman and Party of Five (1994-2000).
For his role in Bulworth, he gained a positive response from his fans and also nominations for Academy Awards.
