Steph Curry beating Sabrina Ionescu at nail-biting 3PT contest has NBA twitter in shambles
One of the most anticipated events of the NBA All-Star weekend, the 3-point contest between Stephen Curry and Sabrina Ionescu was everything fans could have hoped for. The NBA 3-point king and the WNBA recorder holder went head-to-head and put on a show that left fans in awe.
On Saturday, the second day of the All-Star weekend, Following the Skills Challenge and the 3-point contest between the NBA players, Curry and Ionescu faced each other at the 3-point line. Ionescu went first and she did not miss any shots in the first rack, which gave an interesting start to the competition and kept everyone on the edge of their seats. She ended up with 26 points. Curry went second and beat Ionescu with 29 points.
The competition was special as Ionescu’s 26-point score was also the highest score in the NBA 3-point contest which made Damian Lillard the champion. This also makes Curry’s 29 the highest score in the whole of the 3-point contest this year. Curry has proven again that he is the greatest shooter this game has seen.
